Getting started
Primr is an AI-powered learning platform that lets educators, trainers, and content creators build rich, interactive lessons in minutes. You describe what you want to teach, and Primr’s AI generates the structure, content, and interactive components — walkthroughs, quizzes, flip cards, and more.
None at all. If you can write a prompt or fill out a form, you can build a Primr lesson. There’s no code, no design tool, and no curriculum theory required.
Anything where structured learning helps: onboarding materials, technical tutorials, language lessons, compliance training, academic courses, product walkthroughs, and more. Primr’s component types — walkthroughs, quizzes, and flip cards — cover most instructional patterns.
You provide a topic, some context, and any specific requirements (audience level, tone, content areas to cover). Primr sends that to an AI model that drafts a complete lesson outline: sections, component types, content text, and quiz questions. You can then edit every part of the result before publishing.
Minutes for the first draft. Primr generates a structured lesson in a few minutes from a prompt, topic, or uploaded document. Most creators then spend 1–3 hours reviewing, editing, and polishing before publishing.
Lessons & content
Currently: walkthrough sections (step-by-step narrative content), multiple-choice quizzes (with instant feedback), and flip cards (great for vocabulary, definitions, or concept pairs). We’re adding more component types regularly.
Yes — everything is editable. The AI generates a first draft, but you have full control over every section, question, and card. You can also add or remove components, reorder sections, and adjust the tone.
Yes. Every Primr lesson can be exported as a .primr.md file — a structured Markdown format that captures all components and content. You can re-import these files later, share them with others, or store them in your own version control.
There’s no hard limit on lesson length. In practice, shorter, focused lessons tend to get better completion rates. We recommend keeping lessons under 30 minutes of estimated reading/interaction time.
Yes, on Pro and Enterprise. Pro adds custom brand colors, your logo, and a custom domain so lessons appear under your own URL. Enterprise adds white-label deployment for fully branded experiences.
Learners & sharing
Yes, but it’s free. A free learner account is required to take lessons and save progress. Signing up takes seconds and there’s nothing to download.
After publishing, Primr generates a shareable invite link. Send it anywhere — email, Slack, LMS, QR code. You can also add learners by email or manage them through an organization if you’re on a paid plan.
Yes. Learners can attempt a lesson as many times as they like. Each attempt is recorded separately so you can see progress over time.
There’s no per-lesson learner cap. Anyone with the invite link can take a published lesson. The K-12 Program is capped at 150 students per roster for progress tracking. Pro and Enterprise have unlimited tracked learners.
Analytics
All plans include basic attempt analytics: number of attempts, completion rates, and overall scores. Pro and above add per-question performance breakdowns, time-on-section data, and trend analysis across attempts.
Yes. On all plans, you can view per-attempt results for individual learners. Pro and above add richer per-question detail and comparison views across learners.
Pricing & billing
Yes. The Free plan is forever free — no credit card required. It includes 5 published lessons, 10 AI lesson generations a month, core components, and basic analytics.
Yes. Pro comes with a 14-day free trial. You'll add a card at checkout, but won't be charged until the trial ends — cancel anytime before then.
Yes. Annual billing is available on Pro — $290/yr vs $348/yr on monthly, saving you $58 per year.
We accept all major credit and debit cards via Stripe. Enterprise customers can also pay by invoice.
Yes. There are no long-term commitments on monthly plans. Cancel any time from your account settings. You’ll retain Pro access until the end of your billing period.
Enterprise is priced based on your organization’s size, use case, and requirements. Contact our sales team for a custom quote. Enterprise includes SSO, SLA, dedicated support, and custom contract terms.
Organizations & teams
An organization is a shared workspace for teams. It has one or more administrators, a pool of creators who can publish lessons, and learners who are members. Administrators can manage users, view aggregate analytics, and control lesson access.
Three roles: Learner (takes lessons), Creator (builds and publishes lessons), and Administrator (manages the organization, users, and settings). Each role has a distinct set of permissions.
SSO (SAML 2.0) is available on Enterprise plans. It allows learners and creators to authenticate using your existing identity provider — no separate Primr credentials needed.
Security & privacy
All data is encrypted in transit (TLS 1.3) and at rest (AES-256). We don’t sell your data or your learners’ data to third parties. Enterprise plans include additional audit logging and data residency options.
You do. Your lessons, your content, your data — Primr never claims ownership over what you create. You can export everything at any time.
No. Your lesson content is not used to train any AI model. Prompt inputs during AI generation are processed by our AI provider under their enterprise data privacy terms and are not used for training.
